Two clips, one player
Some things are easier to show than to explain. The first clip in the video above is from Juan Nteto's first year at EKS. The second is from a game two weeks ago with EKS U16 (Elite).
Watch them side by side and the difference speaks for itself: the way Juan carries the ball, how low he stays through traffic, how quickly he gets his head up, and how calm he is when he decides to shoot.
What changed
None of this happened overnight. Juan's progress came from the same things we ask of every EKS player:
- Touches, every session. Ball mastery and first touch are at the center of how we train, at every age.
- Showing up. Training consistently, through the good weeks and the hard ones.
- Doing the small things right. Extra reps, asking questions, and listening to the feedback from his coaches.
- Belief. Trying things in games that he was working on in training, and not being afraid to make mistakes.
Development is our specialty
At EKS we measure success by how much our players grow, not only by results on a weekend. Juan's journey is a great example of what that looks like over time, and we know there is a lot more to come.
Proud of you, Juan. Keep going.
